SLAC focuses on climate protection through agroforestry, women empowerment through women-centered capacity building workshops, climate education through school partnerships, and poverty reduction throughvalueaddition to NTFPs in Uganda. We show subsistence farmers in our region ways to secure a stable income from forests through agroforestry training and the production of NTFPs like essential oils, thereby promoting their independence and motivating them to become climate protectors themselves.
